Warranty
Two years on a final drive.
Stated here rather than on request. This is the warranty that applies to every part on this site, issued by DYCO’s parent company.
Coverage
By category, from the date of purchase.
Terms
What the warranty does and does not do.
What it covers
Failure of the product due to a manufacturing defect. DYCO will repair the product without charge, or replace it, at its discretion.
What it does not cover
Damage from accident, improper care, negligence, normal wear-and-tear, or the natural breakdown of materials over extended use. Lack of reasonable and proper maintenance, failure to follow the operating and installation instructions, misuse, and lack of proper protection during storage are all excluded.
Original condition only
Only original, unaltered and unmodified materials and workmanship are covered. A unit opened without written consent, or altered or repaired by anyone after shipment, is outside the policy.
Costs outside the unit
Service charges, labor, and other charges or fees accrued by the purchaser or its third-party vendors are not covered. Damage that falls outside warranty can be repaired at a reasonable rate, with return shipping charged.
Making a claim
How a claim actually runs.
A claim is raised by the dealer who supplied the part. Start with them — they hold the order and can open the claim faster than you can.
Photograph unit on machine with hydraulic lines clearly visible (if applicable)
Photographs of the unit as installed are critical to the analysis.
Confirm the installation instructions were followed
The instructions shipped with the product are part of the warranty. A troubleshooting document is available on request.
We arrange transportation
Once the unit is off and ready, DYCO arranges the freight for evaluation.
A warranty analysis is performed
The findings are written up and sent to the dealer, to be shared with the customer. This is a report, not a verdict handed down without explanation.
Warrantable: repaired and returned at no cost
No charge for the repair, and no charge for the return.
Not warrantable: an estimate, not a surprise
A repair estimate is offered where the unit can be repaired. Inbound freight is then owed along with return freight and any repair. Units left without a decision for 30 days are scrapped.
Returns
A return is not a warranty claim.
A warranty claim is a failure from a manufacturing defect, governed by the terms above. A return is a part that was wrong, surplus or unwanted — nothing failed. Who you bought from decides it.
If you bought from a dealer
Your return terms are the terms of the dealer who sold you the part, not DYCO’s. Dealers set their own return windows, restocking terms and freight arrangements. Ask before you buy, and get the answer in writing on the order.
Dealer returns to DYCO
30 days from purchase for a return to DYCO. Outside that window it will not be accepted, a hard limit rather than a starting position. Freight in both directions is the responsibility of the dealer and the customer.
Questions
Ask before you buy, not after it fails.
If anything above is unclear for the part you are considering, ask your dealer or email us. The answer will be the same before and after the sale.
