Very little. This page says exactly what, why and for how long.
What is kept, who sees it, and for how long
What you send us
Only the part request form asks for personal details: your email address, and your name, company, phone and comments if you add them. It also carries the parts and the dealer you choose.
Who receives it
The dealer you choose, who replies to you directly. It is an independent business, and its own privacy practices apply to what it receives. DYCO keeps a copy of each request for five years, so none is lost. Amazon Web Services, which runs the site and the form, stores and sends it on our behalf.
What we never do
Sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
What the site records on its own
Like most websites, the servers log each visit: the page, the time, your browser, where you came from, and your IP address with its country and network. The logs are kept up to a year, only to run the site and see what people look for.
What the form does not keep
Your IP address, or anything derived from it, is not stored with your request. To stop abuse, the form counts requests under a scrambled code that expires within a day or two.
The dealer finder
A ZIP or postal code, or your location if you allow it, sorts the dealer list inside your own browser. It is never sent to us.
Light or dark
If you switch the site between light and dark, your browser remembers that one choice, so the next page matches. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Seeing or deleting a request
Email contact@dyco.net and we will show you, correct or delete what we hold from a request you sent.
Do Not Track
The site does not follow you across other websites, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing here.
Children
The site is for businesses buying machine parts. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect a child’s details.
